So you’re doing it, or maybe still thinking of doing it. Here are a few of my tips for your best boudoir session.
You DON’T need to wait to lose 5 or 10 pounds. You’re beautiful and it’s about damn time you know this! It’s my job to make you feel and look as fantastic as you are. That is the whole point of boudoir, to help you reveal your inner goddess!
EAT! Don’t skimp on breakfast! We need energy for the shoot. You will be with me for a minimum of 2 hours with hair and makeup!
Wear loose fitting clothing to the shoot and prior if possible! This helps avoid those lovely marks we get from tight clothing.
Please DON’T go tanning within a few days of your session. We don’t want to risk streaky tans or burns! If you really want to get a nice glow, make sure to start early!
Plan your wardrobe. Try everything on and make sure YOU love it. I’m often asked what should be worn. This is completely up to you. I personally love oversized sweaters, that’s not everyone’s thing though. Confidence will matter so much more than the perfect lingerie.
Stay hydrated (tons of water makes for gorgeous skin), moisturize, exfoliate if possible! With a shoot primarily focused on skin, we want it to look it’s best.
Have an idea of the makeup and hair styles you want before arriving. Unfortunately, these shoots are a limited timeframe. Knowing what you want makes it so much easier! If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out to me!
Last, but definitely not least. Relax! Easier said than done, I know. This shoot is all about you.
Reach out to me with any questions along the way. I’m more than happy to answer. Then come get dolled up and enjoy yourself. This will be a blast!
